Weight Release

Much of the weight you have been working so hard to get rid of remains due to hormonal issues. Chronic stress can cause the following problems. When the body cannot return to normalcy due to increased stress levels, it could have a negative effect upon the body with symptoms including:

  • adrenal fatigue
  • suppressed thyroid function
  • an imbalance in blood sugar levels
  • increased abdominal (adipose) fat.

How Cortisol Affects Weight:

Cortisol is a hormone released when we experience stress. It suppresses the immune system, and aids in fat, carbohydrate and protein metabolism. Your body needs to return to homeostasis. Too many people are stuck in fight-or-flight mode, when constantly triggering old unresolved trauma. High levels of cortisol leads to production of glucose, which eventually becomes stored as fat, often specifically as belly fat, which is harder to lose than fat in other places on the body. High cortisol levels can also be a factor causing binge eating.

Cortisol levels also have a direct relationship with the thyroid, and they act synergistically with one another. Cortisol assists the thyroid hormone in working more efficiently, and the correct amount of cortisol — not too high or too low — supports normal thyroid function. When cortisol gets too high, triggered by the adrenal gland’s response to elevated stress, it causes a delayed response to the thyroid hormone receptors. When this occurs, the hormones don’t work at optimal levels, leaving you feeling sluggish, leading to a higher chance of stress eating, and giving up physical activity.

There are natural supplements that will assist your body in getting back into homeostasis.

Everyone has their own pace at which they are going to be successful all depending on your particular life circumstances at this time. We want to set you up with a program that is individualized to fit you exactly where you are.

Most chronic dieters don’t know their metabolism slows down 10-15% after each failed diet. The TLS supplements help fix the damage after all the years of unhealthy dieting.

Some of my favorite non-pharmaceutical chronic stress relievers are Bliss and ACTS. Both contain adaptogens which help either mellow you out or get you energized depending on what time of day you take it.

ACTS is recommended for you when you have high levels of stress as it is specifically designed to support your Adrenals, normalize your Cortisol levels, support your Thyroid, and overall stress response.
